Iyrii Daytlov

Yurii Diatlov, born in 1951 in Mariupol, Ukraine, graduated in 1974 from the Rostov art school named after M. B. Grekov and in 1989 from the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts (previously called Kharkiv Industrial Arts Institute).

 

He worked from 1974 to 1984 as an engineer in the department of construction projects for the Mariupol Metallurgical Plant.

Yurii became a teacher of specialized subjects in the Kharkiv College of Arts in 1989 and was the vice director from 2011 to 2021.

 

He has taught classes on plastic anatomy in the Kharkiv National Pedagogical University. He also participated in the redaction of the journal "Gubernia" for the administration of the region of Kharkiv.

 

He was responsible of the publications on arts (for the journal "Izobrazitelnoie iskustvo", "Gubernia" and others).

In 2020 and 2021, he worked as a guest faculty member at the Florence Classical Arts Academy where he is teaching nowadays as the Board of Professors member.

 

Graphic artist and painter, contributor to many art exhibitions in Ukraine and outside of it, he spent the last few years working mostly with watercolors painting technique. His works are preserved in different collections in the USA, Greece and other countries.
