Elena Selischeva
Elena Selischeba is a Ukrainian artist from sunny Odessa. She likes to work in various techniques, but my favorite is batik painting on silk which she's been practicing for over 20 years. She likes to experiment and combine the technique of cold hot batik, transparent and opaque colors, all this expands the range of possibilities in transferring color and obtaining various image effects.
Elena enjoys traveling and making sketches in watercolors. The sea is what inspires and fills her, her source of inspiration.
She graduated from the Shevchenko specialized art school in Kiev, then studied at the Grekov Odessa State Art College with a degree in arts and crafts.
Elena has been a participant in international festivals, conducting charitable workshops for children and students of an art college, in international planets (Slovenia, 2008). She also has painting teaching for toddlers in developing children's centers and in studios for adults.
She has developed an author's course on watercolor painting, which is used by students of art studios.
She has exposed her work in numerous international and regional exhibitions since 1996.
