Vladimir Kaydanov

Gilberto Geraldo's artistic journey commenced at the age of eleven, under the tutelage of Italian master painters during his formative years growing up in Brazil. He openned his first studio at the age of sixteen and has since produced countless works while continuously teaching.

Geraldo's foundational training included working with live models, still lifes, florals, landscapes, and posed figures. They imparted to him the essential techniques of painting and drawing, along with the technological aspects of painting. This foundation led him to further immerse himself in the subject through extensive reading, resulting in a rich personal library.

Seeking to broaden his expertise, he pursued studies in the Russian school of art. In 1999, he joined the Surikov Academy and subsequently transferred to St. Petersburg, where he entered the Repin Academy in 2000. He graduated in 2007 and further pursued three years of doctoral studies in art history.

In St. Petersburg, he established a studio where he created numerous works and taught in various studios across Russia. His commitment to sharing knowledge has taken him to teach master classes in Portugal, Spain, Brazil, the USA, and China. Notably, he spent six months working in the USA.

Geraldo is eager to contribute to the FCAA and to support the growth of its student artists.
